Forthcoming events

12 February 2010 – George Old Car Show Veteran tour: A “Veteran tour” takes place on Friday 12th February 2010 from Calitzdorp to George. The tour of approximately 170 km is planned for the day prior to the show. The target group is vehicles originally manufactured without front wheel brakes. The cost is R340 per person. 13 and 14 February 2010 – George Old Car Show: It’s time to polish and shine those old cars again for the annual show. The emphasis this year is on tractors and stationary engines. Anyone that is willing to assist with the show must please contact the co-ordinator, Mike Alexander on 082 495 4780.


14 March 2010 – Bring and braai. Come and enjoy the clean Karoo with an old car. We will be driving to one of the picnic spots in Meiringspoort for a braai. Please bring your own picnic basket and utensils. Departure is at 09:00 from the Engen garage opposite the Virgin Active gym. Please contact Pierre Olivier on 082 872 6456 for more information.

28 - 30 January 2010 – Wheels and Water Fair: North Free State Antique Club. The event takes place in the Kroonpark caravan park in Kroonstad. Contact Jurie Swart on 056 212 3965.

27 February 2010 – Largest Ford Parade: The event takes place at Phakisa race course in Welkom. The aim is to gather the largest number of Fords in one place. For more information, please contact Arnel Terblanche on 011 896 1259 or 082 908 6378.

21 March 2010 – Modderfontein Swop Meet: Piston Ring Club. Contact person is Rodney Rorton on 011 828 7776.
